SEEN is a Nordic software company specializing in targeted video marketing and communication. Their platform makes it possible to produce personalized videos, at scale, custom tailored to each receiver. The company saw an opportunity to expand their offerings to the United States, but needed an English language example of their offering, so they approached Five Five Collective to help them craft a data-driven video campaign of their own to showcase their technology.
Data-driven videos are a lot like Choose Your Own Adventure books. The reader might only experience a handful of pages between the beginning and end of the story, but the author has to flesh out every possible scenario the reader could run into—whether they get to read them or not.
During the shoot day, we used a teleprompter to guide our actor as we filmed every necessary piece to build the data-driven video campaign, including sections with up to 30 industry-specific options, as well as a personalizable opening where the actor addresses the viewer by name—with over 2,500 names to account for.
In post-production, Five Five Collective built dynamic visual effects templates enabling SEEN’s system to seamlessly include the viewer's name and their organization's logo on a T-shirt, a mug of coffee, and even a tattoo. The goal was to leave the viewer wondering, “Did they really make this video for me?”
