The Official Energy Drink of eSports®, G Fuel is the go-to energy drink for gamers everywhere. Now available in stores like Walmart and 7-Eleven, it's not just for gamers anymore. G Fuel approached Five Five Collective to create a fun, high-energy video making the case that anyone can benefit from the boost their drinks provide.
Creating a brand lifestyle piece showcasing people drinking G Fuel in everyday, relatable scenarios was the obvious choice, so we thought, “Why not mix in references to our favorite games and stay true to the company’s roots?” We put our heads together and picked three regular activities (narrowed down from a list of about 100) and brainstormed how characters from some of the most popular games would get them done.
We filmed everything in a single location, on a single day, relying on fun editing tricks and visual effects to bring video game super powers to life. The final piece was edited into a 60, a 30, and three 15-second versions formatted for YouTube and Instagram.
